What is a domain?A domain is the "name" of your website. What stands after the "www." For Example: www.google.co.za (domain name: google.co.za) ; www.yourwebsite.com (domain name: yourwebsite.com). The name will never belong to you, you only "rent" annually - remember to renew your domain name every year! HostingA hosting company is the middleman between your website and the internet. It's the company that places your website on the internet, provides you with emails, maintains the firewalls that protect your site from hackers and keep backups of your website. Accrue Websites is not a hosting company, we design, code & upload your website (through your hosting company) to the internet. You can choose your own hosting company, amd just provide us with the FTP (& MySQL) usernames & passwords. You can either use your own hosting company, or you can host with us.
